Job Description
ISS is seeking an experienced and operationally driven Regional Operational Excellence Manager to lead and coordinate regional new-unit openings while ensuring consistent front-of-house standards, operational readiness, safety, and exceptional guest experiences.
The position focuses on building scalable operational processes, developing training tools, supporting hospitality programs, and coaching management and hourly teams to deliver consistent service standards across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate regional new-unit openings.
- Ensure new locations are operationally ready and aligned with company standards.
- Oversee front-of-house setup, merchandising, signage, smallwares, equipment placement, and service flow.
- Develop opening tools such as task-by-time guides, cleaning schedules, station diagrams, checklists, and training materials.
- Train management teams and hourly employees on service standards and operational processes.
- Support the launch of coffee bars, micro kitchens, juice and smoothie outlets, catering programs, and other ancillary services.
- Develop regional champions who can maintain operational standards.
- Continuously improve opening processes for greater efficiency and scalability.
- Promote food safety, workplace safety, HACCP, NSF, and allergen-control standards.
- Conduct audits and ensure service areas remain organized, clean, compliant, and inspection-ready.
- Partner with regional leadership and client teams to resolve operational issues.
- Monitor guest feedback and client satisfaction following new openings.
Qualifications
- Approximately 5–7 years of operational management or related experience preferred.
- Experience successfully managing new-unit openings.
- Strong understanding of hospitality and front-of-house service standards.
- Experience creating training materials and operational tools.
- Proven leadership and team-development skills.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift at least 25 pounds.
