Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and have experience with commercial driving. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for excellent service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and trucks, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring proper handling of items.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs and customer signatures.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including moving items and organizing inventory.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial driving is preferred, with a valid driver's license suitable for the vehicle type being operated.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Experience operating pallet jacks and forklifts is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
- Previous experience in moving or warehouse environments is beneficial.
