Selva Builders Supply is a fast-growing manufacturer-direct supplier of flooring, plywood, and building materials. We specialize in SPC flooring, plywood, decorative panels, and related products for contractors, distributors, builders, and retailers throughout Texas and beyond.
We are looking for a motivated, organized, and customer-focused professional to join our team in a hybrid sales and operations role.
Position Summary
This position combines both inside sales and outside sales responsibilities, with approximately:
- 30% office-based work, including customer service, quotations, order processing, and administrative support.
- 70% field-based work, including prospecting, customer visits, relationship management, and business development.
The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships, developing new business opportunities, and supporting daily operations in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
- Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, distributors, flooring retailers, cabinet shops, and other industry customers.
- Prospect and generate new business opportunities through customer visits, networking, referrals, cold calling, and follow-up activities.
- Conduct regular customer visits and presentations to promote company products and services.
- Prepare quotations and negotiate pricing within company guidelines.
- Follow up on leads, quotations, samples, and customer inquiries.
- Maintain accurate customer and sales activity records in the company CRM system.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings when needed.
Customer Service & Order Processing
- Process customer orders, invoices, and payments accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate order fulfillment, shipping, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor order status and proactively communicate with customers regarding deliveries and issues.
- Provide exceptional customer service and after-sales support.
- Assist customers with product selection and project requirements.
Office Administration & Operations Support
- Support daily office operations and administrative activities.
- Maintain records, filing systems, and reports.
- Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and management teams.
- Assist with inventory coordination and stock checks.
- Support company events, marketing activities, and special projects as needed.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience in sales, customer service, office administration, or a related field.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally for customer visits.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the flooring, cabinetry, lumber, plywood, building materials, construction supply, or related industries.
- Existing relationships with contractors, flooring retailers, cabinet shops, builders, or distributors are a plus.
- Spanish-speaking ability is preferred but not required.
