We are looking for a qualified Infant Teacher
Responsibilities
- Multi-tasking in an infant classroom where each child is on an 'on demand' schedule for napping, eating, bottles and diaper changes
- State and Center requirements to be followed daily to ensure child safety, security and well being at all times
- Positive and upbeat demeanor towards families at all times
- Ability to work with ProCare - our online system for tracking state regulated daily activities for children in our care
- Observe each child to help them improve their sensory and social skills
- Track children’s progress and report to parents
- Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and psyche
- Collaborate with other teachers
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
Skills
- Proven experience as an Infant and/or Toddler Teacher
- Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and milestones for ages ranging from 6 weeks to 18 months old
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Ability to act as mediator between children
- Cool-tempered, patient, loving, friendly and reliable
- Balance between a creative mind and a practical acumen
- Certification in child CPR & First Aid
- Ability to follow state licensing guidelines minimally and following center's expectations on child safety, security and well being of children in our care
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
