Job Summary
MMS Courier is hiring an experienced Dispatcher to coordinate driver routing, scheduling, and real-time communications for our courier operations. This is a full-time, remote (work-from-home) position requiring availability across evening and weekend shifts to support delivery coverage outside standard business hours. We're looking for a seasoned dispatch professional who can manage a fast-paced queue of pickups and deliveries while keeping drivers and customers on the same page.
Responsibilities
- Route and assign drivers to pickup and delivery locations based on schedules, customer requests, and real-time operational needs
- Monitor delivery progress and proactively resolve delays, routing conflicts, or service issues
- Relay work orders, customer instructions, and route changes to drivers via phone, text, and dispatch software
- Prioritize and triage incoming calls and service requests from customers and drivers
- Maintain accurate, real-time records of jobs, driver status, and delivery confirmations within the TMS platform
- Communicate with customers to provide status updates, ETAs, and resolve service concerns
- Prepare and adjust daily dispatch schedules to ensure on-time performance
- Escalate operational issues to supervisors/management as needed
Qualifications
- 3+ years of dispatch experience required, preferably within courier, trucking, or last-mile delivery logistics
- Experience with eCourier and/or Dispatch Science TMS platforms strongly preferred
- Proven ability to multitask and make quick, sound decisions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working independently in a remote/home-office setting, with a reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace
- Proficiency with computers, scheduling/dispatch software, GPS/mapping tools, and standard office applications
- Availability to work a full-time schedule that includes evening and/or weekend shifts
- High school diploma or equivalent

Schedule
Full-time; shifts include mornings, evenings, nights and weekends to support courier operations coverage. We are a 24/7 business operating 365 days per year.
