The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing and managing a wide range of accounting functions, including account reconciliations and month-end close, analyzing data, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. This position requires an individual with strong technical accounting skills, an ability to work collaboratively, and an understanding of the unique challenges that come with accounting in the software industry.
The senior accountant will be able to make a material impact as part of the accounting team on the Company’s growth trajectory by producing accurate and timely accounting records, by ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulations, and assisting in the implementation of best practices and process improvements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Perform month-end and year-end close procedures, ensuring all journal entries and work papers are accurate and completed on time.
· Assist in the preparation for external audits and coordinate with auditors and provide necessary documentation to support audits and tax filings.
· Preparation of account reconciliations and supporting documentation for close procedures.
· Assists in the preparation of financial statements.
· Analyze financial data and generate reports for management to support the decision-making process.
· Assist in the preparation of forecasts and annual budgets.
· Manage accounts payable, vendor relationships and ensure timely payments.
· Assist in the billing and collections procedures, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
· Ensure adherence to internal controls and assist in the implementation of best practices for accounting and financial operations.
· Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve operational efficiency.
· Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
· Work closely with other departments (e.g., Sales, Operations, IT) to resolve financial issues and provide support for various projects.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting
· Audit experience is required, preferably 2-3 years at a large audit firm.
· Position is fully remote.
Skills:
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and revenue recognition standards (ASC 606).
· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Must be extremely proficient with Microsoft Excel.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
