We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Service Technician to join our highly dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel equipment and machinery. We have a large fleet of cranes, trucks, forklifts, etc. and are always doing interesting projects!
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, air brakes, HVAC systems, and other heavy equipment components.
- Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, alignment checks, and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues across diverse machinery such as cranes, forklifts and tractor-trailers.
- Operate vehicles safely during repairs or testing while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed service records including inspection reports, repair logs, and maintenance schedules for each vehicle or piece of equipment serviced.
- Give advice related to repair, replacement of vehicles and effectively communicating with co-workers.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Diesel Service Technician or similar mechanic role with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics and heavy equipment repair.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals; familiarity with major engine or truck brands is advantageous.
- Capable of using hand tools and power tools efficiently.
- Experience operating or driving heavy machinery is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Any relevant certifications are a plus.

Pay: $29.00 - $49.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
