Duties
- Measure, cut, thread, assemble, and install piping systems using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Ensure all piping installations adhere to safety standards, building codes, and project specifications
- Perform inspections of completed work to verify proper fit, alignment, and secure connections
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to coordinate installation schedules and resolve technical issues
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspection reports for project documentation
- Troubleshoot and repair existing piping systems to optimize performance and prevent leaks or failures
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role within industrial or commercial construction environments
- Strong knowledge of piping materials such as steel, copper, PVC, and other relevant substances
- Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics with precision
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and pipe threading machines safely and effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail for accurate installation and repairs
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials, working at heights or in confined spaces
- Valid certifications such as OSHA safety training; additional certifications in welding or pipefitting are a plus
