Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Office Treatment Coordinator to join our busy practice specializing in General, Orthodontic, and Pediatric dentistry. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, guiding them through their treatment journey with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your expertise will ensure smooth scheduling, accurate insurance processing, and exceptional patient communication, all while maintaining compliance with health regulations. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage all aspects of patient check-in and check-out with excellent customer service skills
- Coordinate treatment plans by explaining procedures clearly and answering patient questions confidently
- Schedule appointments efficiently using patient management software
- Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing inquiries in accordance with health insurance policies
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information following HIPAA regulations and practice policies
- Communicate effectively with patients via phone and in person to confirm appointments, provide reminders, and address concerns
- Support clinical staff by managing electronic health records (EHR), updating patient charts accurately, and ensuring documentation compliance
Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental office setting is required, with familiarity in handling administrative duties in a fast-paced environment
- Dentrix and Sidexis is a big PLUS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel for documentation and reporting purposes
- Knowledge of health regulation policies, including HIPAA compliance and medical record management standards
- Experience with patient management software, EMR/EHR systems, and medical administrative support tasks
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dental procedures and treatments
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly over the phone and face-to-face
- Ability to type quickly and accurately while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of health insurance processes, billing procedures, and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
