Title: Director, Enrollment & Operations
FLSA: Exempt
Reports To: Founding School Leader
Summary: LINC Academy is a K-4 community school in the Franklinton community. The school is looking for a Director of Operations and Enrollment with strong leadership and execution skills who knows what it takes to run school operations and collaborate with school and management organization partners so that every day, children are getting what they deserve.
Essential Functions The Director of School Operations will lead and implement the following functions:
& Responsibilities:
School Leadership
- Partner with the school Principal as an integral member of the School Leadership Team
- Manage daily, non-instructional operations to ensure efficiency and maximum customer service
- Serve as primary point-of-contact for staff, family, student, or community questions, concerns, complaints, or suggestions related to school operations and other areas of responsibility
School Operations Management
- School safety, including:
- Manage the process of developing and ensuring compliance with the school’s Emergency Operations Plan
- Manage the routine of monthly and annual safety trainings and drills
- Develop and ensure fidelity to school safety systems and processes, including visitor management and student arrival and dismissal
- Student attendance, including:
- Develop systems and processes to ensure accurate attendance is taken daily
- Ensure compliance with all attendance-related regulations (e.g. 72-hour removals, Alianna’s Law, HB 410)
- Food Service program management, including:
- Managing the relationship with the school’s food service vendor
- Submitting accurate and timely food claims
- Reviewing monthly food order and claim data, identifying trends, and addressing areas of concern as needed
- Executing the Direct Certification process and coordinating collection of household income information
- Ensuring compliance with all federal program and health department requirements
- Sponsor, State, and Federal Compliance, including:
- Ensure compliance with all school policies, as well as sponsor, Ohio
Department of Education, and federal requirements
- Manage the annual sponsor compliance process
- Transportation services, including:
- Managing yellow bus transportation systems and processes, aligned with processes and requirements set forth by Columbus City Schools.
- Managing transportation for Special Education and homeless students
- Managing transportation requests for field trips and other school activities
- Other (as needed), including:
- Logistics and project management for school events and programs
- Tech project management, including test preparation
- Facilities project management
- Vendor management
Community Engagement, Enrollment and Re-Enrollment
- In partnership with the Principal: o Develop an annual community engagement + enrollment (sales/marketing) strategy o Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with community partners (e.g. local community organizations, preschools, day cares) o Participate in local community events and serve as a visible outreach agent of the school o Follow up with enrollment leads o Organize and host enrollment events (tours, open houses, community events, etc.)
- Manage the school’s application and enrollment processes, including the
PowerSchool Enrollment system
- Manage the annual re-enrollment process
- Coordinate with and oversee partnerships with marketing vendors/contractors
Skills: Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong customer-service orientation
- Ability to organize workload independently and set priorities; to adapt quickly to changing priorities; and perform multiple interrelated tasks under deadline pressures
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience collecting, analyzing, and using data to inform and improve program performance and outcomes
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and comfort in a founding school environment
- Regular reflectiveness and receptiveness to feedback
- Passion for the organizations mission and purpose and an ability to communicate this passion to others
- Demonstrated commitment to the values of diversity, inclusion, and empowerment
Education and 5+ years relevant experience, specifically community engagement
Experience: Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Work Environment: The job operates in a professional work and educational environment.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Hours of Work: This is a full-time position that may require weeknight or weekend work.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
