Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Building Assistant Teacher to join our team. Job hours would be approximately Monday - Friday 8:15 - 4:45. These hours may be slightly flexible. This role is vital in supporting classroom activities, fostering a positive learning environment, and assisting lead teachers in implementing educational programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children.
Responsibilities
- Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, organized, and stimulating environment for children.
- Engage with children through age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Assist with daily childcare routines such as diapering, feeding, and nap times for toddlers and preschoolers.
- Maintain clear communication with parents and staff regarding children's progress and needs.
- Support classroom setup, cleaning, and organization to ensure a welcoming learning space.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, private school, or similar settings.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and engage with children and parents.
