Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient preparation to ensure efficient kitchen workflow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and portioning of ingredients
- Support catering events and special functions with timely meal preparation and service
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service hours
- Follow all safety procedures related to knife skills, food handling, and cooking techniques to prevent accidents
Qualifications
- Prior experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings with fine dining exposure preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Skilled in meal preparation, knife techniques, and general kitchen operations
- Experience with menu planning, catering, and serving in a fast-paced environment is a plus
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively under pressure
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen
