Job Title: HolidayLight Setup Crew
Status: Seasonal, Full-Time
Function: Performs general installation/set up and tear down of holiday lights, light displays and decorations at the ABQ BioPark Botanic Garden
Reports to: New Mexico BioPark Society Events Director, Events Manager and River of Lights Supervisors
Description: River of Lights Light setup crew member is a full-time, seasonal, hourly position. Must be available to work designated weekdays and some weekends and evenings currently scheduled:
Sept. 8 – Nov. 28, 2026
Jan. 5 – Feb. 27, 2027 (or when tear down is complete)
Compensation: $15.00 per hour

Qualifications/Knowledge:
· Good work ethic and ability to work without constant supervision
· Work outside in all types of weather (heat, cold, rain, snow etc.)
· Able to lift 50 - 80 lbs.
· Working knowledge of tools (including power tools)
· Ability to follow specific instructions accurately and work cooperatively in a team environment
· Must adhere to all safety standards at all times
· Withstand physical demands such as extensive walking, standing, lifting, carrying, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, climbing and more
· Ability to work in various positions including but not limited to stooping, standing, kneeling, squatting, working with arms overhead and bending over for extended periods of time
· Comfortable with heights and working on ladders while lifting equipment
· Basic electrical knowledge is a plus
Additional Details
· Schedule will include assisting set up, tear down, and operations for the Boo at the Zoo event on Friday and Saturday, October 23 and 24, at the ABQ BioPark Zoo.
