Overview:
We are looking for a committed Certified/Registered Medical Assistant to become a part of our healthcare team. The perfect candidate will be a collaborative team player, assisting medical staff to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform basic clinical tasks including vital signs
- Prior authorizations for medications, medical tests and clinical orders
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with medical charting
- Conduct PFTS
- Coordinate patient referrals and follow-ups
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
- Provide exceptional patient service and support
Requirements:
- Certification as a Medical Assistant
- Proficiency in basic life support (BLS)
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
- Experience in medical administrative support
- Ability to provide compassionate patient care
- Familiarity with Pulmonology practices
- Knowledge of PFTS is a plus
- Experience working with geriatric patients is preferred
