By joining the Division of Abandoned Mine Lands, Program Management Branch, Resource Management Section as an Administrative Section Supervisor in Franklin County, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a team that oversees the reclamation of historic coal mining hazards by ensuring procurement, payable policies, and budgetary projects meet standards.
Holders of the Administrative Section Supervisor position will complete tasks such as:
- Supervise the work of employees in the Resource Management section regarding Abandoned Mine Lands (AML) reclamation contracts, waterline contracts, and economic development projects. Evaluate employee performance.
- Approve financial transactions in eMARS and ensure timely payment of invoices.
- Assist Administrative Branch Manager with grant application process.
- Serve as ProCard administrator, and manage agency travel, supplies and inventory.
- Prepare correspondence and reports as needed by the Administrative Branch Manager and Division Director.
Desired candidates possess the following requisite skills or experience applicable to the position:
- Knowledge of Kentucky Model Procurement Code and Finance Administrative Policies (FAP) .
- Grant management experience.
- Procard administration experience.
- Creation or approval of eMARS payment transactions.
Additional position information: (travel required, standing, stooping, bending, lifting, and sitting at a desk, etc.) Some travel may be required.
