What You'll Do
Every day brings something different. You'll work on a variety of residential construction, remodeling, repair, and maintenance projects, including:
•
Install and repair doors, windows, trim, flooring, siding, decks, soffit, fascia, and other finish carpentry elements.
•
Complete interior and exterior carpentry projects from start to finish.
•
Read blueprints, drawings, and building specifications to ensure precise execution.
•
Safely operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment.
•
Build layouts and basic sketches to support construction projects.
•
Coordinate materials and supplies needed to keep projects moving efficiently.
•
Assemble and safely work from scaffolding when required.
•
Maintain tools and equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation.
•
Mentor or direct laborers and helpers while maintaining high workmanship standards.
•
Follow all safety procedures while delivering quality work that exceeds expectations.
What We're Looking For
•
4+ years of residential or commercial carpentry experience.
•
Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, construction materials, and remodeling practices.
•
Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
•
Experience using a wide variety of hand and power tools safely.
•
Pride in producing clean, high-quality work.
•
Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or collaboratively.
•
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
•
Professional attitude when interacting with homeowners, residents, and team members.
Requirements
•
High school diploma or equivalent.
•
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
•
Ability to travel locally to project sites with occasional overnight travel if needed.
•
Flexibility to work a consistent full-time schedule, including occasional weekend work as projects require.
Physical Requirements
This is an active, hands-on role requiring the ability to:
•
Lift and carry materials up to 75 pounds.
•
Climb ladders and scaffolding.
•
Frequently bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and work in varying positions.
•
Work indoors and outdoors in changing Wisconsin weather conditions.
