Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast POS or Micros POS
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, special requests, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Maintain food safety standards by following sanitation protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting stations, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage seating arrangements during busy hours
- Handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations for billing purposes
- Uphold cleanliness standards by adhering to sanitation guidelines and food industry regulations
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
- Strong culinary knowledge or culinary experience that enhances menu recommendations and guest interactions
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy shifts
- Demonstrated ability in sales techniques, including upselling menu items and specials effectively
- Prior fine dining or hospitality experience that emphasizes exceptional guest service
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in a nightclub or high-energy food service environment is advantageous
- Strong communication skills for guest relations, team collaboration, and order accuracy
- Ability to perform basic math for cashiering, cash handling, and bill splitting tasks
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, or holidays as required in a fast-paced restaurant setting
