Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and professional CDL licensed tour bus driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers on guided tours, private charters, and group outings while providing exceptional customer service. Duties
- Safely operate motor coaches, school buses, or shuttle vehicles in accordance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and state transportation laws.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checks of air brakes, mechanical systems, and overall condition.
- Navigate routes efficiently while maintaining punctuality and adhering to scheduled itineraries.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, answering questions, and ensuring a comfortable ride experience.
- Maintain communication with dispatch and team members using clear and professional language throughout shifts.
- Comply with all traffic laws, defensive driving principles, and adverse weather driving protocols to ensure passenger safety at all times.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks or report mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure vehicle reliability.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with appropriate endorsements for passenger vehicles, including air brake certification.
- Proven experience driving motor coaches, school buses, or shuttle vehicles; delivery driver experience is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with basic vehicle inspections and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and safety standards specific to commercial bus driving.
- Ability to operate in diverse conditions including adverse weather or challenging traffic environments.
- Excellent communication skills in English for interacting with passengers and team members effectively.
- Demonstrated defensive driving skills and commitment to safety protocols at all times.
- Prior experience in customer service or limousine driving is advantageous but not required.
