We are looking for a Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing instrumentation and control systems for our energy projects. The successful candidate will lead the engineering efforts, ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimize instrumentation and control systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Lead the development of engineering designs, specifications, and documentation for instrumentation and control systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and project managers to integrate instrumentation and control systems into overall project designs.
Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and troubleshooting activities to identify and address technical challenges.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
Evaluate new technologies and methodologies to enhance the performance and efficiency of instrumentation and control systems.
Participate in project meetings, providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in instrumentation and controls engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
Strong proficiency in PLC programming, SCADA systems, HMI development, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus).
Experience with instrumentation selection, specification, and installation, including sensors, transmitters, and control valves.
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISA, ANSI, NEC) related to instrumentation and control systems.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for designing and drafting engineering drawings.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex systems and processes.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Project management experience, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and allocate resources effectively.
