Job Description:

Performs repair, overhaul, maintenance, and servicing of commercial and industrial electrical/electronic systems, locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment.

Testing, installation, repair, and maintenance of a variety of electrical equipment, such as generators, ATS, UPS, transformers, switchboards, controllers, door operators, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, IR scans or other transmission equipment.

Performs fire alarm system and nurse call systems testing and maintenance.

Maintains the general cleanliness and appearance of assigned spaces and the workshop.

Assist maintenance teams.

Solely identify and resolve failures/alarms related to critical building equipment

Must hold a Journeyman Electrician License.

Completed certified apprenticeship program preferred.

1-2 years of experience in electronic repair and maintenance of fire doors and security alarm systems.

Must have the skill and knowledge to use all hand and power tools, test equipment and shop machines, aerial booms, and shop machines utilized by the craft.

Knowledgeable and skilled in maintaining and repairing exterior and interior electrical wiring and components.

All appropriate safety practices for working with hand and power tools.

Read and comprehend schematics, blueprints, and shop drawings.

Communicate verbally and in writing.

Ability to troubleshoot systems using electronics, computers, and software systems.

Use of computers for checking email, data entry on CMMS, and training

Electrical, electronics, and basic knowledge of refrigeration, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and ventilating systems, safe operation and repairs and electrical troubleshooting

Must have a high school diploma or equivalency.

Ability to pass a background and drug screening.
