Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lead Mixer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the mix room to complete batches of compounds that adhere to set standards. This is a "working lead" position. This role requires the ability to follow established processes, as well as the ability to maintain high-quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
Typical hours are Monday - Friday, 6:00AM -4:00PM with occasional Saturday overtime.
Duties
Reports To Production Manager
Summary This is a “working lead” role in which the individual plans, guides and
directs the other mix room employees. The lead will be responsible for
ensuring that compounds are being mixed according to specification and
that all compounds required for the following days’ production are ready.
Key Duties Ensure that the mix sequence is followed
Report any non-conforming compounds to quality or production manager
Communicate with the production manager on any issues such as no pots available, raw material needs/problems, and if there will be any problems completing the next day’s mix ticket.
Give directions to other mixers on what pots to mix and when.
Mix batches according to specification
Identify all raw materials
Operate all mixers to consistently meet product specs
See that materials are properly stored and presented to the mix process.
Identify any variations in process or mixing results and escalate as necessary

Following written and verbal instructions
Organization and attention to detail
Hilo operations
Lifting at least 50 pounds
Experience
- Proven experience in a factory or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Previous experience with quality control processes and standards is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of tooling and its applications in production settings will be beneficial.
- Previous leadership experience is helpful, but not a requirement for the right person.
