Responsibilities
- Operate commercial-grade dryers, tunnel dryers, conveyor dryers, stackable dryers, and tunnel washers efficiently and safely.
- Perform laundry processes including washing, dry cleaning, bleaching, steam cleaning, ironing, folding, and pressing with precision.
- Conduct mechanical stain removal using specialized techniques such as baking soda stain removal, hot water stain removal, cold water stain removal, and mechanical stain extraction methods.
- Manage barrier washers and laundry folding machines to ensure optimal throughput and quality.
- Maintain safety procedures during machine operation to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health standards.
- Monitor laundry equipment for proper functioning; perform routine maintenance or report issues promptly.
- Ensure all laundry items are cleaned to the highest standards before folding or packaging for delivery or storage.
- Adhere to cleaning protocols and safety guidelines while handling chemicals such as bleach or other stain removers.
- Support hotel or facility-specific laundry needs by providing prompt and efficient service tailored to client requirements.
Experience
- Proven experience operating commercial laundry machinery including dryers, washers, pressing machines, and steam cleaning equipment.
- Familiarity with dry cleaning processes and chemical handling procedures.
- Prior experience working in hotel or hospitality laundry services is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of machine operation safety procedures and maintenance routines.
- Experience with stain removal techniques using various agents like baking soda, hot water, cold water, or specialized cleaning solutions.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of laundry workflows from washing through folding and packaging to ensure quality standards are met consistently.
