Responsibilities
- Attention to detail in a fast pace environment is key for this position.
- Safely handle and package, and deliver food items, ensuring proper presentation and temperature
- Assist with food preparation, plating, and garnishing as needed to support kitchen operations
- Support the kitchen team with manual handling tasks, including heavy lifting of food trays, equipment, or supplies following safe lifting practices
- Use POS systems to process orders or assist with guest transactions when required
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and guests to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction
Skills
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during busy service times
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and interact positively with guests
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and guest service support
- Experience in bussing, cleaning, or supporting banquet events is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that enhances guest experiences
