Bellingham Golf & Country Club (BGCC) is seeking polished, attentive, and service-driven
Banquet Waitstaff to support weddings, golf tournaments, member events, business
functions, and private celebrations. Banquet Waitstaff play a key role in creating
exceptional event experiences through efficient service, strong teamwork, and a
welcoming, professional presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, professional service to members and guests during banquets,
tournaments, and special events.
- Assist with event setup, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, place settings,
and buffet or service stations according to event layouts.
- Serve plated meals, clear dishes, refresh beverages, and maintain smooth service
flow throughout events.
- Support buffet service, including monitoring food levels, maintaining presentation,
and assisting guests.
- Collaborate with banquet captains, bartenders, kitchen staff, and event
coordinators to ensure seamless execution.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in all banquet areas before,
during, and after service.
- Assist with event breakdown, including clearing service items, resetting rooms, and
storing equipment.
- Uphold BGCC’s service standards, dress code, and hospitality values at all times.
- Communicate effectively to ensure events run according to the timeline and meet
member/client expectations.
Qualifications
- Previous banquet, catering, or restaurant experience preferred.
- Washington State Food Handler’s Permit required (or ability to obtain).
- MAST Permit preferred for those assisting with beverage service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and event-based schedules.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25–40 lbs (chairs, trays, banquet
equipment).
- Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with BGCC standards.
