Gromax Precision is seeking entry-level candidates for our Tool & Die Maker, Machinist, and Wire EDM apprenticeship programs. If you’re mechanically inclined and eager to learn high-precision manufacturing from the ground up — this is your opportunity.
No experience? No problem.
We're looking for mechanically minded individuals who are dependable, eager to learn, and ready to start a hands-on career. If you've ever fixed a bike, taken apart a motor, enjoyed shop class, or just like working with your hands — we can train you. If you are not mechanically minded, then this role will not be for you.
What You'll Do
At Gromax, each toolmaker leads their project from start to finish — design, build, fit, test, and troubleshoot. As an apprentice, you'll gain exposure to:
- Planning and constructing precision tools, dies, fixtures, and gauges
- Operating mills, lathes, grinders, and Wire EDM machinery
- Reading and interpreting detailed blueprints
- Inspecting parts and holding tight tolerances (0.0001"–0.0002")
- Performing basic machine maintenance
- Learning from experienced tradespeople in a climate-controlled facility
You'll be trained in a Class A tool and die shop — not on an assembly line, but in a place where craftsmanship still matters.

What We Look For
- High school diploma or GED
- Genuine interest in learning tool & die work, machining, or EDM
- Strong math and mechanical reasoning skills
- Ability to read blueprints or willingness to learn
- Detail-oriented and safety-conscious
- A positive attitude and respect for others
- Willingness to take ownership and work independently over time
