Eventus Education is seeking a dependable and hands-on Maintenance Worker to provide general maintenance support across our childcare center locations. This role focuses on routine repairs, preventive maintenance, facility inspections, and responding to assigned work orders to help maintain safe and functional learning environments.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine repairs and general facility maintenance
- Complete minor painting, drywall patching, carpentry, and hardware repairs
- Assemble furniture and install shelves, fixtures, locks, and other items
- Replace light bulbs, filters, batteries, and routine maintenance supplies
- Assist with minor plumbing and other basic facility repairs
- Conduct facility inspections and promptly report damage or safety concerns
- Respond to work orders based on assigned schedules and priorities
- Communicate repair updates, delays, required materials, and completed work
- Help move furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed
- Keep tools, materials, and work areas secured and inaccessible to children
- Notify management when repairs require a licensed or specialized contractor
- Travel to different Eventus Education locations based on operational and maintenance needs
- Complete other maintenance-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in general maintenance, handyman work, construction, property maintenance, or a similar role is preferred
- Basic knowledge of common hand and power tools
- Ability to identify and safely complete minor repairs
- Ability to follow work assignments, schedules, and priorities provided by management
- Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently
- Ability to lift and move furniture, equipment, and maintenance supplies
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to travel between assigned Eventus Education locations
- Must meet all background-screening requirements for working in childcare facilities
Job Location: Multiple Eventus Education locations within the assigned region; regular local travel is required.
Schedule: May vary depending on maintenance priorities, safety concerns, and emergency needs.
