Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, utilizing both physical presence and surveillance technology to deter and respond to potential threats.
Duties
- Patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of premises.
- Monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV, to identify suspicious activities.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
- Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to prevent loss or damage.
- Provide conflict management support during incidents involving individuals or groups.
- Document all incidents, observations, and actions taken in detailed reports.
- Collaborate with law enforcement as necessary for investigations or emergencies.
- Maintain proficiency in CPR, first aid, and other emergency response protocols.
- Enforce company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Qualifications
- Valid armed security officer license or certification as required by state regulations.
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred.
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and conflict management strategies.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems and equipment (CCTV).
- Certification in CPR and first aid is highly desirable.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
