Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable OTR Truck Driver to join team. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial trucks on over-the-road (OTR) routes, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
- Load, secure, transport, and unload freight, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous materials, following proper manual handling procedures and cargo handling protocols
- Utilize GPS navigation systems to plan optimal routes, monitor traffic conditions, and ensure on-time deliveries across diverse locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues; document any concerns or repairs needed
- Comply with hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous substances, ensuring proper documentation and safety measures are followed
- Maintain accurate records of driving hours, delivery logs, load details, and inspection reports in accordance with FMCSA regulations
- Collaborate with dispatch teams to coordinate delivery schedules and address route changes or delays promptly
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving with a strong focus on safety and efficiency
- Valid driver’s license (NON CDL) with endorsements for hazardous materials (Hazmat), tanker, or refrigerated trailer operation preferred
- Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and handle manual loading/unloading tasks
- Knowledge of logistics cargo handling procedures for freight such as refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, flatbed loads, or tanker shipments
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning software for efficient trip management
- Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance standards, and hazardous materials regulations
- Excellent manual handling skills for safe load & unload operations; physical ability to lift heavy cargo when necessary
- Exceptional driving record with a focus on safety compliance and adherence to all traffic laws
