Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities to ensure a fresh and inviting atmosphere
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces
- Care for floors using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment to preserve their appearance and safety
- Restock supplies like towels, toiletries, and linens efficiently while adhering to hotel standards
- Report maintenance issues or damages promptly to ensure swift resolution and uphold safety standards
- Follow established cleaning procedures and safety protocols consistently to maintain a hygienic environment
- Assist with laundry duties including washing, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing when needed
- Support housekeeping management in inventory control by tracking cleaning supplies and equipment usage
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles; hotel experience is highly preferred but not mandatory
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care methods, and sanitation standards within hospitality settings
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, steam cleaners, and floor polishers effectively
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods, bend, lift heavy items safely, and perform repetitive tasks efficiently
- Familiarity with hospitality industry practices and custodial procedures enhances your effectiveness in this role
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining positive communication with colleagues and guests
