Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, presentation standards, and safety guidelines
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and seasonal specials based on culinary trends and guest preferences
- Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including prep stations, utensils, and cooking equipment
- Support food service operations by efficiently managing meal preparation during busy hours
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless catering services for events or special occasions
- Use knife skills and culinary techniques to prepare ingredients with precision and consistency
Experience
- Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with specialized meal requirements
- Proven restaurant or fine dining experience showcasing advanced food preparation and cooking skills
- Strong background in food handling, safety protocols, and kitchen operations within the food industry
- Experience in menu planning, meal preparation, and catering services is a plus
- Knowledge of food service standards, including serving techniques and customer interaction skills
- Demonstrated culinary experience with proficiency in knife skills, food presentation, and quality control
- Prior kitchen experience in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes teamwork, efficiency, and attention to detail
