The Lodge at Old Kinderhook is seeking dependable and skilled individuals to join our maintenance team. This position is responsible for maintaining the overall condition, functionality, and appearance of hotel rooms, facilities, and grounds to ensure an excellent guest experience.
We are open to candidates with general maintenance experience or specialized skills. The right candidate will have hands-on abilities and a strong work ethic—we are willing to train the right individual.
Positions Available:
- Full-Time Hotel Maintenance
- Part-Time Hotel Maintenance
Schedule:
- Evenings and weekends required
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the property
- Complete light carpentry work, including framing and drywall repair
- Perform painting and touch-up work in guest rooms and common areas
- Handle basic plumbing repairs and troubleshooting
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and resolve maintenance issues
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner
- Assist with preventative maintenance projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous maintenance experience preferred (hotel or residential a plus)
- Basic knowledge of carpentry, drywall, painting, and plumbing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift, carry, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
