Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Journeyman Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, and mechanical systems. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance of HVAC equipment across commercial and residential properties, delivering exceptional service and technical excellence. Duties
- Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and related mechanical components.
- Interpret schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
- Perform maintenance on plumbing systems, ammonia refrigeration units, and other mechanical equipment to ensure efficient operation.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to repair electrical circuits and mechanical parts.
- Conduct field service visits to client sites for routine inspections, emergency repairs, or system upgrades.
- Diagnose complex issues using mechanical knowledge and experience with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) systems.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete reports on repairs performed, and document system conditions for future reference.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC Journeyman or Service Technician with a solid understanding of construction principles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair, welding, boiler operation, and property maintenance.
- Ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans accurately; familiarity with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> drivers is preferred.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems, appliance repair, air conditioning units, and property maintenance procedures.
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; experience with HVAC/R systems is essential.
- Certifications in HVAC/R or relevant trade licenses are highly desirable; ongoing training is encouraged to stay current with industry standards.
