Monday - Friday: 7am - 5pm CST, Saturday 8am-12pm CST

Diesel Mechanic Requirements at Nu Way Concrete:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); certification from an accredited college or apprenticeship program.
- Four or more years of previous diesel mechanic experience
Examples of Diesel Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities at Nu Way Concrete:
- Diagnose, service and repair various systems that are found on pieces of heavy equipment such as mechanical and computer electronic controls, air brake systems, transmissions, computer controlled automatic and manual transmissions, and pneumatic systems
- Participate in the review of some operational and mechanical safety related issues associated with the fleet
- Perform routine preventative maintenance such as lubricating, oil changes, and failure analysis
- Perform routine brake inspections/ adjustments on commercial vehicles following Federal DOT requirements
- Create work orders on repairs and services providing legible and accurate information for work performed
- Coordinate with location supervisor and review Pre-Trip truck inspections to prioritize work accordingly
- Maintain daily repair checklist and/or reports
- Communicate with drivers and branch managers to ensure adherence to preventative vehicle maintenance policies and practices
- Other duties as assigned
