About the Position:
We’re seeking a warm, organized, and dependable Dental Front Office Manager / Patient Care Coordinator to join our growing dental practice. As the first point of contact for our patients, you’ll help create a positive and welcoming experience while ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of front office activities.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively, and has a solid understanding of dental terminology and office workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients with professionalism and warmth, managing the full check-in and check-out process
- Schedule, confirm, and optimize appointments to support the dentist’s daily schedule
- Handle patient communications via phone, email, and in person with courtesy and accuracy
- Maintain and update patient records in Open Dental
- Verify insurance benefits and manage insurance communications
- Assist with billing, coding, and patient account collections
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all health regulations
- Collaborate closely with the dental team to support seamless patient care and a positive office flow
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dental front office role (Dental Receptionist, Patient Care Coordinator)
- Proficiency with Open Dental or other dental management software
- Knowledge of dental coding, insurance verification, and claims processes preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Friendly, professional demeanor with a patient-first mindset
- Ability to remain calm, efficient, and detail-oriented in a busy clinical environment
