Socco Forest Products is seeking an experienced, high-caliber General Manager of Operations and Sales to oversee our facility in Sumas, WA. This dual-focus executive role requires a leader who can a maintain rigorous production standards and safety protocols on the mill floor while simultaneously driving sales, customer relationships, and market growth.
The ideal candidate understands that "producing results" never means compromising on quality. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the day to day operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Directing operations to increase performance, productivity, and profitability,
- Seeking out new clientele and setting up new programs,
- Fielding inquiries & complaints from existing clients,
- Assisting with the preparation of quotes for new clientele,
- Assisting with hiring, and employee relations,
- Assist with preparation of business plans,
- Preparing capital expenditure budgets/forecasts,
- Communicating with company Directors,
- Complying with company policies,
- Help maintain a safe orderly environment.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Minimum of five years experience in operations within the industry is required.
Sales experience within the industry is highly preferred.
Thorough knowledge of lumber drying, and re-manufacturing including equipment, processes and products.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong business acumen.
Ability to function under pressure.
Ability to think tactically and strategically.
Strong analytical abilities and working knowledge of financial process.
Strong Computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, & LISA)

Pay: $100,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
