We are looking for a Sushi and Japanese Food Preparation Cook who is able to managing food stock and working with an attention to detail to fulfill all orders within quality standards. Experience with Japanese cuisine is a plus but not required and be available to work during our opening hours. Ultimately, you will help us establish our reputation as one of the best sushi and Japanese food places in the area and increase our clientele.
Responsibilities
- Doing daily food prep activities , like cooking rice, slicing meat and vegetables
- Coordinate with our staff to ensure proper cooking, considering special requests and food allergies
- Prepare variety of Japanese cuisine
- Monitor food stock and restock or if require to order, report to management
- Washing all tools after preparations and serving pots and pans as necessary
- Must be able to deal with GrubHub system /Taking orders and running cashier when necessary
- Maintain hygiene principles in all cooking areas and clean your space at the end of the shiftSkill
- Ability to work both fast and accurately
- Team spirit
- Availability to work during business hours, including weekends and evenings
- Flexibility to take on various shifts
- Certification from a culinary school is a plus
