Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing outstanding customer service at all times
- Provide daily front desk coverage while supervising all front desk operations, including patient check‑in and check‑out, appointment scheduling, patient communication, staff support, and oversight of referrals and billing workflows within the EMR (eClinicalWorks).
- Verify patient insurance coverage, process medical collections, and handle billing inquiries with accuracy
- Maintain and organize medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies
- Assist with phone communication, answering inquiries professionally and directing calls appropriately
- Support clinical staff by managing appointment reminders, patient follow-ups, and health information management tasks
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools for administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and report generation
Requirements
- Proven experience in a medical office environment or healthcare setting with front desk responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of eClinicalWorks (a plus)
- Familiarity with medical billing, and health insurance processes including Medicare.
- Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to handle multiple calls efficiently while maintaining professionalism
- Demonstrated ability to review medical documentation accurately and support billing/coding procedures
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to safeguarding patient confidentiality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records and administrative tasks
