Goldthwaite Health & Rehab Center is seeking a compassionate and motivated Per Diem Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our in-house subacute rehabilitation team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping residents improve their communication, cognitive function, and swallowing abilities while working alongside a dedicated interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on each resident's goals and clinical needs.
- Perform bedside swallowing evaluations and implement appropriate dysphagia treatment plans.
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment strategies and home recommendations.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and rehabilitation team members to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and discharge planning.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license in good standing.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFY) are encouraged to apply if applicable.
- Experience in skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or geriatrics is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and organizational skills.
- Passion for delivering compassionate, resident-centered care.
