POSITION SUMMARY: The Occupational Therapist (OT) will be responsible for providing comprehensive evaluation, intervention, and ongoing treatment services to children in both clinical and natural environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric clients to identify areas of concern related to sensory processing, motor skills, self-care skills, and social-emotional development, etc. by use of standardized assessment tools, observation, and clinical judgment
- Intervention Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals based on assessment findings, client & family goals, and evidence-based practice guidelines to address identified areas of need and promote functional outcomes.
- Interdisciplinary Approach: Collaborate with team members, including parents/caregivers, therapists, physicians, educators, early interventionists, and other healthcare professionals, to establish appropriate intervention strategies.
- Therapy Implementation: Provide direct therapy services to pediatric clients in a clinic-based setting, preschools/daycares, homes, and other community environments. Deliver evidence-based interventions and therapeutic activities tailored to each client's unique needs and strengths. Incorporate play-based approaches, sensory integration techniques, assistive technology, and adaptive equipment as appropriate to facilitate skill development and engagement.
- Caregiver Education & HEP Development: Establish and maintain cohesive relationships with client families by educating parents/caregivers on strategies to support their child's therapy goals and promote carryover of skills into daily routines.
- Progress Monitoring & Documentation: Regularly assess and document client progress towards established goals and objectives. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including evaluation reports, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
- Professional Development: Stay current with advances in research, techniques, and best practices through continuing education, workshops, and professional conferences. Maintain licensure/certification requirements and adhere to ethical standards and professional guidelines.
- Appointment Scheduling & Client Care Coordination: Coordinate and schedule appointments for clients assigned to your caseload on a weekly basis with efficiency needed for maintaining productivity expectations. Follow appropriate steps needed for optimizing client care such as navigating referrals, client advocacy, and providing ongoing support regarding available services and treatment options
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
- Valid state licensure or certification in Occupational Therapy (OTR/L)
- Pediatric experience preferred, however, ongoing mentoring is available.
- Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning, and intervention implementation.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
