American Traveler is hiring an LVN/LPN for a Behavioral Health unit specializing in psychiatric and adult medical patient populations, requiring a CA LVN license, Epic experience, and a behavioral health crisis intervention certification.

Inpatient behavioral health/psychiatric unit setting
-
Adult patient population including diagnoses such as ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Eating Disorders, PTSD, Anxiety Disorder, Depression, Major Depressive Disorder, Psychotic Disorder, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder

Adult medical complexity patients including those with Substance Abuse Disorder, Alcohol or Opiate Withdrawal, Hypertension, Diabetes, high fall-risk geriatric patients, patients in pain, and those with wounds

Electronic patient rounding is utilized on the unit

Rover device used for capturing patient photos, entering vital signs, and documenting food intake

ObservSmart equipment used for patient observation

Charting via Epic EMR
-
Night shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 2300–0730

Current CA LVN license required (license required if applicable)

Minimum 2 years of LVN/LPN experience required

Epic EMR experience within the last 6 months required

Current BLS certification required
-
Current certification in one of the following behavioral health crisis intervention programs required: CPI, ProAct, PMAB, MOAB, or Handle with Care

Recent inpatient psychiatric experience preferred

Two supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration

Copies of all certifications required for consideration

13-week contract

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate

Former employees or travelers must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
-
No RTO will be approved for this assignment, with the exception of up to 1 holiday
