Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical imaging and be proficient in performing diagnostic radiology procedures. This role is vital in providing high-quality imaging services to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment.
Duties
- Perform X-ray examinations on patients, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Collaborate with medical staff to evaluate images for diagnostic purposes and assist in urgent care settings as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation processes to effectively communicate findings.
- Ensure proper handling of equipment and maintain cleanliness in the imaging area.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Requirements
- Certification as an X-ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist from an accredited program.
- Experience in diagnostic radiology, including proficiency in mammography and sonography preferred.
- Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge and physiology related to medical imaging practices.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments such as emergency rooms or urgent care facilities.
