Our Athens law firm is seeking a motivated attorney to join our team. This position will focus primarily on consumer bankruptcy, with opportunities to gain experience in personal injury, Social Security disability, and workers’ compensation matters.
This is a great opportunity for an attorney who wants meaningful client interaction, hands-on case experience, and the chance to develop their skills across several areas of law.
What You’ll Do
As an attorney with our firm, you will work directly with clients and take an active role in managing cases from consultation through resolution. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting client consultations and advising prospective and existing clients
- Evaluating cases and helping determine appropriate legal strategies
- Performing legal research and analysis
- Drafting complaints, petitions, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
- Managing case files, deadlines, and client communications
- Preparing for and attending hearings and other court proceedings
- Working closely with attorneys and support staff to provide excellent service to our clients
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will be dependable, organized, professional, and comfortable communicating with clients who may be facing difficult financial or personal circumstances.
Candidates should have:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active bar license
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters
- A professional, client-focused approach
Prior legal experience is preferred, but not required. We are open to considering newer attorneys who are eager to learn and grow within the firm.
