This position is ideal for a technically minded professional who enjoys solving customer problems, interpreting engineering information, and maintaining technical documentation. The successful candidate will serve as a key liaison between Engineering, Product Support, and end users while ensuring maintenance manuals and technical publications remain accurate and up to date.
This role combines technical documentation, customer support, and engineering coordination in support of commercial aerospace products.
What You'll Do:
Technical Documentation Support
- Create, revise, and maintain Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), Service Bulletins, and related technical publications.
- Review engineering changes and determine documentation impacts.
- Incorporate approved product changes into maintenance and support documentation.
- Respond to comments and revision requests from customers and stakeholders.
- Support verification and validation of technical publications.
- Coordinate with external publishing vendors responsible for document formatting and XML updates.
Customer & Product Support
- Serve as a product support resource for airlines, repair facilities, service centers, and OEM customers.
- Investigate technical and documentation-related inquiries.
- Interpret customer questions and determine appropriate resolution paths.
- Work with engineering teams when technical expertise or design clarification is required.
- Communicate complex technical information in a clear, customer-focused manner.
Engineering Change & Configuration Support
- Review Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
- Evaluate effects of design modifications, component substitutions, and product improvements on maintenance documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering, configuration management, reliability, manufacturing, and logistics teams.
- Ensure logistics and sustainment impacts are addressed during change implementation.
Process & Quality Support
- Support Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) activities.
- Maintain compliance with ISO-9001 quality standards and company procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce documentation backlogs and improve customer support response times.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Aviation, Technical Communications, or related field, OR equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Product Support
- Technical Publications
- Configuration Management
- Engineering Support
- Aerospace or Aviation Operations
- Technical Documentation
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across multiple disciplines.
- U.S. Person status required.
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
