COMPENSATION:
$40.00 to $65.00/hr - based on experience in outpatient hand and upper extremity rehabilitation.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide efficient, quality-oriented occupational therapy patient care through individualized evaluation and treatment programs, including assessment, treatment planning, implementation, therapeutic exercise and activities, patient education, home exercise programs, and communication to maximize the patient's progress toward achieving functional goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Provide skilled occupational therapy evaluation and treatment for patients with hand, wrist, elbow, and upper extremity conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, diagnoses, functional limitations, and established goals.
- Utilize evidence-based interventions and therapeutic techniques to maximize patient function and promote return to daily activities, work, and other meaningful occupations.
- Collaborate effectively with orthopedic physicians and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Identify learning needs and educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment, home exercise programs, and injury prevention.
- Ability to project a professional image.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with a variety of teams and individuals.
- Working knowledge and ability to apply professional standards of practice in job situations.
- Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Working knowledge of personal computer and software applications used in job functions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy as evidenced by college diploma.
- Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state of California.
- Required outpatient hand and upper extremity rehabilitation experience.
- Open to active/pending state board licensures and those sitting for their board exam in the next six months.
This position requires a background check upon acceptance.
