Dexter is a 29-room boutique hotel in downtown Elk Rapids that brings together thoughtfully designed accommodations, a neighborhood café, and Noble Lounge — an intimate cocktail bar focused on quality hospitality, craft beverages, and a welcoming atmosphere for both hotel guests and locals.

Position Overview
The Lead Bartender is a hands-on leadership role responsible for helping oversee day-to-day beverage operations across Noble Lounge and the café.
This position combines high-level bartending with operational responsibilities including inventory, organization, prep systems, and staff support. The role works closely with ownership and management to help establish service standards, maintain consistency, and support the long-term growth of the beverage program.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys both hospitality and leadership and wants to help shape a growing boutique hospitality concept.
What You’ll DoService & Hospitality
- Lead bar service during shifts with professionalism, hospitality, and efficiency
- Prepare cocktails, beer, wine, espresso, and non-alcoholic beverages to established standards
- Create a welcoming guest experience for hotel guests and local patrons
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness behind the bar
Operations & Team Support
- Assist with inventory, ordering, and bar organization
- Maintain prep lists and operational consistency
- Help train and support bartenders and café staff
- Lead by example during service and support a positive team environment
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years bartending experience (craft cocktail experience preferred)
- Strong hospitality instincts and guest awareness
- Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Leadership mindset with strong communication skills
- Weekend and evening availability, especially during peak season

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
