This contract position offers an opportunity to support elementary-aged students as they learn and grow. You'll be stepping in for maternity leave coverage, engaging with a diverse caseload of 44 students spanning pre-K to 5th grade across two elementary schools. Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid West Virginia OT License required
- Background in school-based settings preferred
- Experience with healthcare, home health, or teletherapy OT is highly valued
- Strong collaborative and communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage a varied caseload and adapt therapy techniques to individual student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services onsite (37.5 hours per week)
- Assess, plan, and implement treatment strategies tailored to each student’s goals
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate results with teachers, staff, and families
- Serve students at two elementary school locations in grades pre-K through 5th
- Collaborate with educational teams to develop IEPs and support classroom integration
- Consult with families and educators to promote carryover of therapy strategies in school and home environments
