Weihe Construction Inc. is looking for a hard-working professional to join our maintenance department. The parts specialist will work closely with and report directly to the shop manager. This individual will have their hands in a number of administrative duties within the shop, which include but are not limited to:
- Assist with ordering all parts for repairs conducted in the shop
- Responsible for all research associated with specific repairs
- Must properly discern between OEM, after-market or used parts
- Must demonstrate ability to prioritize timeliness, price and/or quality during the procurement process
- Collaborating with the parts manager, shop manager and head field mechanic in determining parts procurement for field repairs
- Must coordinate with the shop manager & lead field mechanic on deliveries and pick-ups
- Will assist in facilitation of the field mechanic schedule
- Developing relationships/creating rapport with vendors & dealership contacts
- Data entry, data processing and vendor service coordination
- Scheduling maintenance subcontractors
- Machine check-ins
- Will work with the shop manager & head shop mechanic to evaluate pieces of equipment, their tendencies and foreseeable repairs
- Will assist the shop manager with cost saving analysis’
- What money can be saved during the repair process?
- Servicing multiple repairs concurrently or in a fluid manner to ensure minimal downtime
- Maintaining the service filing system
- Must organize and maintain all equipment repair records in order to aid the parts ordering process
Qualified candidates will have 2+ years of experience in parts ordering.
Well qualified candidates will have 1+ years of experience with parts ordering for heavy equipment.
Qualified candidates will have general knowledge of Microsoft Office products and be able to type 40 wpm.
Well qualified candidates will have experience with heavy equipment vendor service information systems (i.e. ‘CATSIS’)
