Shift Lead Qualifications:
Shift lead qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a food handlers certificate. Preferred candidates have experience managing wait staff and are proficient with company software.

- Leadership & Motivation: The ability to direct coworkers, train new employees, delegate tasks efficiently, and resolve conflicts.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to handle customer complaints professionally and relay instructions clearly to the team.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, scheduling software, and basic inventory management tools.
- Financial Management: Trustworthiness and accuracy in cash handling, balancing registers, and preparing safe drops.
- Problem-Solving: The ability to think quickly on your feet and make decisions under pressure during busy periods.
- Physical & Availability Requirements: Ability to stand/walk for long periods, lift heavy items (often 20–50 pounds), and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
