We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Server to join our vibrant restaurant team. Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly with a friendly attitude, ensuring they feel welcomed from the moment they arrive
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and relay them efficiently to the kitchen and bar staff
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, answer questions about ingredients, and make personalized recommendations to enhance guest satisfaction
- Serve food and drinks with professionalism, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
- Manage multiple tables simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and guest needs through effective time management
- Upsell menu items and specials to increase sales while ensuring guests receive excellent value and experience
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining a balanced register at shift end
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to sanitation protocols in food handling and service areas
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy hours, including assisting with food preparation or supporting host/hostess duties when needed
- Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage guest seating efficiently and optimize table turnover
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Experience with food industry standards including serving, bussing, and guest relations is beneficial
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is a plus but not required; a passion for hospitality is essential
- Strong communication skills combined with good time management abilities are key for success in this role
