LAND SURVEYOR – We are currently looking for a land surveyor with 2 years’ experience in rural land surveying, often on steep, uneven terrain. California LS desirable, but not required, or have completed the LSIT with the desire to obtain professional licensure within one year. AutoCAD, robotic total station and/or GPS experience a must. Applicant should have experience in boundary and topographic surveying and mapping, a desire to manage the survey department and possess strong organizational, communication and time management skills.
Duties include:
* Managing the survey department
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Job estimating, budgeting and contract preparation
* Work independently and as part of the team
* Meeting project timelines
* Strong client relation skills
Skills/knowledge requirements:
* Scheduling the field crew
* Strong field skills in corner search & recovery, topographic mapping, boundary surveying & construction staking
* Map & deed research
* Calculations & computations associated with boundary resolution
* Preparation of Maps, Records of Surveys, Corner Records, Flood Elevation Certificates, ALTAs and legal descriptions/plats
* Strong communication & writing skills
* Experience with AutoCAD or Traverse PC
Salary Range: $75,000 to $100,000 per year, depending upon experience
